To Our Local Businesses,
On behalf of the Village of Ostrander and the Delaware County Economic Development Department, we’d like to invite you to a discussion about our collaborative effort to create an Economic Development Action Plan for the Village of Ostrander. This action plan is based on our suggestions to key areas that Village Council as well as residents should target in the next three to five years. However, we can’t do it alone. We need to know the Ostrander business’ vision of what they want in their community so we can make a plan that is tailored to this wonderful village; one that people are invested in and want to see come to fruition.
We’d ask that you join us December 2nd, at 6:30 pm, at Ostrander Village Hall – 19 S. Main Street. There, the Economic Development Department will be leading a discussion, and will also be available to answer any questions about the Action Plan that you may have. If you have any questions beforehand, please feel free to contact Zach Dowley (zdowley). We look forward to seeing you soon!
The Village of Ostrander has entered into a contract with Scioto Township to assist with snow removal and salt application. The township’s first priority are the township roads. Once the township roads have been cleared they will assist the village with snow removal and salt application. The village will perform the initial treatment of the roads and apply salt at intersections and do as much plowing as possible as it has done in the past. A map of the priority plowing routes is attached.
We wanted to provide an update on Trick or Treat. Despite the forecast for less-than-ideal weather, we still plan to have Trick or Treat as planned on Thursday from 6-8:00pm. We hold the event in conjunction with the Scioto Township open house which starts at 5:00. Moving these events is not as simple as one may think. We will be working with Scioto Township to work up a contingency plan for future years. In the meantime, stay tuned to social media for updates and plan to bring an umbrella. Happy Halloween!
We are looking for feedback from residents of Ostrander about what you would like to see as we continue to grow. Please join us tonight at 6:30 pm at the Scioto Township Community Center at 3737 Ostrander Road for an Economic Development Public Meeting.
